March 21, 1960 to May 1, 1994
Ayrton was my favorite driver growing up. His passion, skill, and craft was second to none. His battles on the track were epic whether fighting for the championship or taking a 2nd rate car to pole or teaching the rest of the field what it was like to drive in the rain.
Just writing this gives me chills and both swells my heart with joy and hurt… I remember pleading with him to get up as we watched him pass.
